Privacy Policy

Comments (the "Application") is a Social plugin offered through our partner marketplaces, namely Wix and Weebly. The Application is provided by CodeMagic LTD and Kodio LTD, both incorporated in Israel (the "Application Developer", "us" or "we"). The service is provided for individuals and businesses that look to incoroporate commenting functionality in their website (the "User" or "you"). This Privacy Policy defines which information we collect about the User, the User's site and from visitors to the User's site ("Visitors").

Information we collect

The Application does not collect or send any kind of personally identifiable information, except for the following: Facebook/Twitter/Google+/VK user identifier for Visitors who signed in with their social network account, Wix user identifier for Visitors who signed in with their Wix Members account, email address for Visitors who signed in with their email address. In addition, the Application also stores the name of the Visitor, as provided by the Visitor or by the social network / Wix Hive API, and the Visitors's profile photo URL where applicable. The Visitor's name and profile photo link information is used for displaying the Visitor's information next to the comments generated by the Visitor. The email address of the Visitors and the social account identifier are displayed to the User as part of the email notifications features, and are also available for the User as a part of a report which can be obtained through the Application's dashboard.

The Visitors may enter any information, possibly including their own personal information or a third party personal information, into the comments posted by them. The Application Developer does not hold any liability for the contents of the comments posted by visitors or by the site owner, and for any personal information that might be contained within. The Application Developer may delete any comment, at their own discretion, should the comment infringe the privacy or intellectual property rights of any third party.

The activity data will be stored alongside an identifier which uniquely idenitifes the User's website.

Google and Mixpanel store this information. Some of this information is also stored in Google Cloud BigQuery for further analysis. See Google's privacy policy and Mixpanel's privacy policy.

The information about the comments is stored in a database called Firebase, a part of the Google Cloud Platform. You can review their security policies in Google Cloud Platform's Security Whitepaper, and refer to Google Cloud's Terms of Use and Data Processing and Security Terms.

The Application uses a service called Sentry for collecting information about errors and bugs that happens from time to time in the Application. While we do not share any user information with Sentry on a regular basis, some of the errors may include relevant user information which is related for the error that has occurred and will be used by our technical teams to troubleshoot the error. This information may include a unique user identifier, and any information entered by the user in any page.
